Arminco appointed Xorcom's distributor in Armenia
Arminco, a leading ISP and ITSP in Armenia, announced its appointment as Xorcom's distributor in Armenia. Arminco will be distributing the entire range of Xorcom's IP-PBX including videoconferencing systems, Astribank channel banks and IP phones in the local market.

Termination of the prepaid international phone cards service
As announced earlier, June 1st, 2011 is the termination date for the "Heradzayn" prepaid VoIP service. The access number for the service (010 295309) is disconnected and is no longer in service. ARMINCO offers its Non-geographic Armenian number service as an enhanced replacement for the old service.

The Network

The ARMINCO Network is based on three fiber optics loops that provide the Yerevan metropolitan coverage from north to south and from east to west, covering Zeytun, Komitas, Kentron (downtown), Ajapnyak, Shengavit, Aygestan, Nor-Nork and Davidashen districts. The network is continuously growing with a current volume of more than 1000 fibers/km. The main backbone bandwidth is 1Gbit/s.

The ARMINCO Network is also available via wireless links, with access points installed in Yerevan, Gyumri, Vanadzor, Armavir, Ashtarak, Ararat, Vardenis, Sevan, Martuni, Gavar, Yeghegnadzor and Vayk cities. Marzes are connected to Yerevan using both high-speed wireless links and rented digital channels of the Armentel.

User available local bandwidth in Arminco network for IEEE 802.3 standard based fiber optic connection is 10 Mbit/sec, for local ITU G.shdsl based DSL bandwidth is 2 Mbit/sec as well for IEEE 802.11b based radio connectivity.

The ARMINCO Network is peered with the Netsys, Cornet, Web, Xalt ISP, ADC networks, as well as with the Armenian FreeNet. The current bandwidth assigned is 10mbit/s per peer.

The ARMINCO Network hosts more than 1000 websites.
